Every week I put together an email to be distributed to Gold Crest Distributing's retail buyers. I keep an email calendar with relevant topics for the time of year to discuss in these emails. For example, the Hummingbird email shown here was distributed mid-July as Hummingbirds begin migrating back South at the end of August and into September. The timing of this email allows enough time for buyers to stock their store and market to their customers. This ensures their customers have adequate time to purchase the feeders needed so their Hummers can stock up on calories before they begin their journey. Since I have taken over email marketing for this brand, email open rate has increased by at least 20%.
