Each year HOMEBANK raises funds for two programs that the employees vote to support. In 2019, one of these programs was Honor Flight. The fundraising committee chose to create and sell t-shirts as one way to raise funds for the program. Because HOMEBANK spans across Missouri and Illinois, we had two groups to include in our efforts, Central Missouri and Great River Honor Flight regions. My task was to take both of their logos (see below) and combine them into one logo that could be printed on the t-shirt and any product the committee later decided to utilize in the effort.
I chose the most prominent objects in each logo to speak for that region: the airplane for the Central Missouri region and the soldiers saluting from the Great River region. It was nice that they both shared the same font for the "Honor Flight" verbiage. Including the states that each region supports was an important factor in the logo, as well.
The resulting logo was screen printed with a transparent background on a charcoal color t-shirt, which allowed the white ink to really pop and catch the eye. I included artwork on the back of the shirt discussing HOMEBANK's support of our troops as this was the purpose of the fundraiser.
The fundraising committee, and the bank as a whole, was well please with the result.
